The Pathways study is designed to be used in a small group to teach members how to study the Bible for themselves. It is a simple, uncomplicated and transferable method for learning how to study the Bible. The tools have proven effective and have been used all over the world to teach pastors and laymen and women of all educational levels.

Al Lewis was a senior pastor in the EFCA for twenty-three years before joining EFCA ReachGlobal and forming the Pastoral Training Team (part of the larger Global Equipping Team). He has developed the Pathways Bible Study method that is being used to train over 7,000 pastors and leaders worldwide in Bible study methods and preaching. He has now developed the Pathways Study as a small group Bible study to teach laymen and women how to do careful Bible study. Al and his wife, Edie, travel extensively and train pastors and wives in numerous countries.
